The 100th Koenigsegg – the Koenigsegg Hundra, based on the Agera S – is heading for a debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The Koenigsegg Hundra (hundra means 100th in Swedish) is a right hand drive Agera S in clear carbon with 24 carat gold leaf inlays – Artisan applied, of course – creating what Koenigsegg are calling “…an intriguing mix of traditional and hi-tech craftsmanship”. We’re assuming that the Koenigsegg Hundra is heading for Hong Kong because Koenigsegg has based it on the Agera S – which can produce the 1030 horses of the Agera R but without needing to use biofuel – and it’s right hand drive.

New US based electric car maker, Detroit Electric, has been conducting final testing in Europe of its new SP:01 sports car.Described by Detriot Electric as the “world’s fastest production electric vehicle”, the rear-wheel-drive two-seat convertible is now nearing production having initially been unveiled in the USA and China last year. In a word, yes. Much like the equally electric Tesla Roadster, the SP:01 is built on the aluminium chassis of the Lotus Elise and as such, shares more than a passing resemblance with the Norfolk-built sports car.
This is the new Renault Twingo Gordini Renaultsport, an upmarket version of the brilliant Renaultsport Twingo. And if you’re confused, let’s start at the beginning. Renault make the Twingo, but its tuning arm Renaultsport also tweak the city car to give us the excellent Renaultsport Twingo.
